For the eBay D&AD brief, my solution was focused on the idea of building relationships and creating a community. I wanted to create sale days, which would occur on Saturdays, in different cities, with different interests for each being sold. A seller whose main product is jewellery would be in Birmingham, selling alongside other sellers whose main product is jewellery, selling to an audience who enjoy handmade, preloved, vintage jewellery.
I called this ‘eBay Marketplace’, because the event would be set up like a market. I believe this would bring in a new audience
but also bring back other users, as events like vintage kilo sales are popular amongst the target audience. This also allows the target audience to find products they love, and see them first hand as well as creating a spotlight for sellers.
